NEW UMPIRES – Our robust training program commences in January & so applications close on 13 January 2026.
To apply for our program, you must email all the following requirements before our closing date, 13 January 2026.
- A personalised paragraph (200 words max.) explaining why you want to become an umpire.
- Confirmation of completion of this form: Click here
- Submit your completed Foundation Umpire Course and Rules of Netball Theory Exam Certificates via Netball NSW. To access these courses, you will need to
- Log in to your player account with Netball NSW, MyNetball.
- Select the top tab “Netball Learning Centre”.
- Search for “Foundation Umpire Course”, add to cart, and complete.
- Search for “Rules of Netball Theory Exam”, add to cart, pay, and complete. Please note that a score of 70% or higher is required for a pass. (Mascot Netball Club does not reimburse the fee payable for this course)
- Please submit your certificates upon successful completion to us via email.

Please note that all Mascot Umpires must wear a white polo shirt when umpiring games. If umpiring senior teams, it is recommended that umpires wear full whites. If unsure on the attire to be worn whilst umpiring, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Mascot Umpire Coordinator for clarification.
